Activities include city design, furniture design, building design, communication design; almost anything with an experiential aspect.

Background

Timothy Hill established Partners Hill in 2013 while based in London. Returning to Australia in 2014, he has resumed the role of design author that characterised his previous 20 year period as a Founding Director of Donovan Hill.

Practice Method

Our organisation operates as a partnership and we are very familiar with forming collaborations (be it with consultants, clients or other architects). This model has fostered a methodology that encourages innovation and broadens the experience of all involved. Although our reputation in design is widely held, our technical and delivery capacity is of an equally exceptional standard.

Client Profile

Our engagement with a broad range of building types involves us with a broad client base. We have familiarity with the differing ambitions, methods and dynamics of institutions, governments, developers and in many cases, other architects. Our services range through urban design, design review, heritage intervention, curatorial strategy, bespoke interiors, façade design, public engagement, policy advocacy, research consolidation and complete architectural commissions in the ‘classic’ sense.

Recognition

Although our output is often lauded for its construction finesse our abiding interests rest in the potency of plans. Our ingenuity with how our schemes are organised often underpins the memorable features that users enjoy; features that were never envisaged in the brief. In a formal sense, our work continually receives peak national awards and international recognition.
