NAB CHAMBERS
Like the existing heritage building, the detail reoccurs in multiple areas of the new building and at various scales, including screens and embossed reinforced concrete walls.
A heritage sensitive development in Queen Street, Brisbane; a new commercial building adjacent to the heritage National Australia Bank building.
The entry sequence into the building is under a perforated stone screen and through a double height space, which has the existing building on the left and the new building to the right. This ‘outdoor room’ composition includes new and old building fabric as well as dappled light emitted through the screen wall.
